Hope and change. There companies layed off thousands of people today. Expect unemployment to be around 10% this spring.

But, abortions and gay marriage! And I’m 81% sure Obama cares about me.

You know, I saw this and thought, “Oh. A screengrab from TheGayRepublican’s Facebook. This HAS to be legit.”

But for some CRAZY reason, I thought “This might not be the most credible source, so let’s look into it.”

So I just picked one of these companies at random to verify that the world is, in fact, coming to an end and we will all be jobless by Christmas.

“Atlantic Lottery Corporation” OK. So I googled it. Turns out they DID lay off 16 people… on Monday. November 5th. One day BEFORE the election.

This HAS to be a fluke I thought. This is TheGayRepublican after all. I’m sure he fact checked this before posting, and I’m sure that his lemur-like conservative followers would have sniffed bullshit and double-checked for accuracy.

So I googled another at random: “Lower Bucks Hospital.”

HA! Lower Bucks Hospital DID lay off 30 people… last week. A full week before Mitt Romney was to be elected and save every job from the brink of annihilation.

2 for 2. Hmmmm. Must be wrong. Let’s just look for one more because I’m sure this is just bad luck.

“PerkinElmer” HOLY SHIT. PerkinElmer laid off SIXTY SIX PEOPLE. Who were all notified on… wait for it… September 30th.

Fortunately for TheGayRepublican, and contrary to popular belief, I can’t check all of these due to having a life. But if you guys want to each pick one out and check, I say have at it. Something tells me that going 3-for-3 wasn’t just good luck.

And just a brief post script. You know, you’d think that after your shitty candidate’s shitty campaign got trounced on Tuesday because your shitty movement does nothing but make shit up, you’d try to learn from it and be less shitty.

LOL Atlantic Lottery Corporation is based in Moncton, New Brunswick, CANADA and has absolutely no dealings with the United States of America.

How has nobody talked about the fact that Research in Motion is on this list? I seriously can’t remember the last time I saw someone using a blackberry. I’m pretty sure their layoffs have nothing to do with SOCIALISM! 

Also, the Providence Journal is a slowly dying newspaper that’s getting killed by local TV stations in terms of quality of reporting. It’s the RIM of newspapers.
